Oh Snap!!!

Well, I braved the needle and ink again... Yep! A NEW TATTOO!!! I know I must seem crazy to get something permanent on my skin FOR LIFE!!! But both of my tattoos are very near and dear to me. Very special meanings behind both of them. The one I've had since June 09 is of my moms initials. I've wanted to ink her initials on my skin since she passed away in 2002 but never had the guts to pull it off. I braved it and had it done in Mobile, AL (my hometown) while on vacation visiting my family. It's on my hip and hidden unless I'm well.. naked (DUH) or wearing a swim suit. It's not that I'm not proud of it at all... I just don't like having them on parts where you can see them at all times. (wrist, arm, foot or wherever clothing doesn't cover) It was emotional getting it and VERY PAINFUL!!! I should have thought about hmmm... hip bone being under my fatty hips... HELLO!!! Ouchy for sure!

This newest tattoo is something that means the world to me. My best friend Jaclyn and my love of photography!!! <3  We both share the love of taking pictures and have always been snapping shots with our phones or cameras. Pictures are a permanent memory of that special moment you shot. Pictures tell a story of where you've been and where you're going. Pictures also capture those bad hair styles, clothing choices, crazy college moments and best of all family and friends. I don't have my mom around anymore but I do have the amazing times we shared on pictures! Jaclyn isn't in Knoxville all the time but I have pictures to remind that she might be far away but I can see her face anytime I need to cheer up! Side note about JaC... We cheered together and were close close friends since freshman in high school. We have been through thick and thin with my mom passing away and her losing her dad. She is the kindest person I know and would do anything for anyone!! Love that girl!!

So... I got a tattoo of a camera with a pink heart!! (pink had to be on it of course!!!) Almost vintage looking with the style and shadowing.  I found the design on Pinterest and fell in love with it. I have also never really seen a camera tattooed on anyone. So I went ahead and got it done this past Saturday. The place I picked you can see if I'm wearing a sundress or swim suit... and also naked. (hehe) I had the hardest time picking the place and went with my back shoulder blade. Not near as painful as the one on my hip either!!! WOO HOO!! This one only took about 30 minutes too! When he finished I went to the mirror and fell in love with it even more. I'll post picture of it now but once it heals I'll update the pictures.

This is a reminder that life is too short to not live!
