Needing Something Tasty!! Hmmm...

While playing on Stumbleupon.com I stumbled upon a wonderful blog! http://crafterholic.blogspot.com/ This blog is so cute and so many fun ideas to craft away with. My head starts spinning and my bank account starts to panic! I start thinking of places I can go to get the stuff I want to play with. Hobby Lobby is screaming my name!

Needing something fun to do tomorrow on my day of I found this yummy goodness! Honey Roasted Chickpeas!!! I know right? O.M.G. I plan on sleeping in tomorrow on my 2nd day off of my four day weekend! (Much needed four day mini vacation) Jason is off tomorrow also so we'll run our errands for the weekend which means I'll go by Krogers or Earth Fare to get the stuff I need to make this yummy goodness!Time to crochet with sweet little Blue curled next to us. Pictures will be posted with my finished chickpeas! :)

Herb Garden Window Seal Style!

Thanks to Carla for this amazing cute little idea. My sweet Granny and I made this one lazy Sunday after eating a yummy Sunday dinner. The cute little clay pots came from the Dollar Tree, 3 for $1 can't beat that! Then the little plastic bowls came from The Dollar General also 3 for $1. I bought my herb seeds from good ole Walmart for a $1 a pack then Mircale Grow gardening soil. Then it was time to get out hands dirty! One pack of seeds will make two cups of herbs. Granny and I each have out six cups, six clay pots and the herb packs. We filled up the cups with the gardening soil then make little holes with our fingers. Granny was in charge of putting the seeds in the pots while I made the cute lables. We planted our little herbs on Sunday March 13th. Well, today each herb cup has sprouts. We planted the following herbs- Dill, Chives, Rosemary, Parsley, Oregano and Basil. The Rosemary finaly sprouted yesterday and the Parsley decided to show it's leaves to the world TODAY!! All herbs are growing and super cute in their little cups. How to water? I bought us both a spray water bottle to spray the plants with. There you go... a quick easy herb garden that's cute, easy and CHEAP to make! Hands on 2011!
