One of my favorite things about Spring and Summer time is grilling out! I LOVE IT! Food taste better when it comes from an outside grill. Last time we took a trip to Memphis Jason's brother in law grilled out smoked sausages. Usually not a huge fan of sausage I wasn't too excited for it but thought I would at least eat a few pieces. Well, it was super yummy! Harry put a blackened seasoning and other yummy flavors to marinate the sausage right before placing them on the grill. They also kept it simple and served it with cubes of cheese. (Any cheese will do) Then we had plane saltine crackers... which we had plenty of since we just had the flu. Another exciting thing I threw on the grill was fruit skewers!! Strawberries and pineapple! YuM O! The sausage cooked really fast and left a yummy caramel all over the grill. Once I placed the fruit skewers on the grill they made the awesome sizzle! Once it was time to eat I of course wanted the more burnt pieces of sausage. I ended up trying a piece of grilled pineapple with a piece of sausage together... O.M.G. I suggest you go out to the store, buy a pineapple and a smoked sausage link and throw them on the grill ASAP!
WAIT!!! Instead of throwing away the pineapple topper make a pineapple plant. My sweet Granny loves to grow pineapple plants indoors. They look cool and modern also. I'll post the link that I followed to cut the stem for the planting. I'm pretty pumped about growing a pineapple plant also because that means I get to buy a cool pot and either paint it or Mod Podge it!! CRAFTY TIME!
